He tells Marie that Angelini has come to Nice (068.0723), walks with Angelini (068.0757), meets the family at the Var races (068.0773), stays long with them at the races «pour le sérénissime Ga-lu-la» (068.0869), calls at their opera box during Faust (068.0920) and sees them off at the station on 6 February 1877 «sans rien, si avec des amabilités» (068.0987). At the rink on 5 February he talks to them for ten minutes without letting go of the comtesse del Verme's arm: «voilà bien les façons italiennes» (068.0973).
