Yesterday I telegraphed Julian for news of Tony, and am anxious... When the dispatch arrives, to open it will be... Ah — it would be a great loss for me.
I am out of doors all day and make studies — the weather is very fine. I cannot imagine that this man, still so young, can die... and yet he had changed very greatly these past six months.
"I shall always find Tony and his studio again," I wrote on leaving — for a moment I hesitated to write it, and what if I did not find him again, I thought.
