At dinner we have all the Sapogenikoffs. I love having them but it makes me go to bed late, as in the evening everyone stays in the garden, laughing and shrieking.
A dîner nous avons tous les Sapogenikoff. J'aime bien les avoir mais cela me fait coucher tard, car le soir tout le monde reste au jardin et on rit et on crie.
The four of us seize hold of Markevitch and carry her out to the garden. Naturally this produces screams and laughter like madwomen — or worse.
Nous quatre, nous enlevons Markevitch et la portons au jardin. Naturellement cela fait crier et rire comme des fous ou pis encore.
I keep talking of being a queen; the others do too.

I am getting them accustomed to nonsense.
