The Antonelli family (Rome)

Overview

«Les Antonelli»: the Roman family of Cardinal Giacomo Antonelli, Secretary of State to Pius IX, as a whole: his brother count Louis (Luigi) Antonelli, the countess Camilla Folchi and their sons Dominique, Paul and Pietro. Use this file where Marie means the family collectively, chiefly as the obstacle to her marriage with Pietro in 1876 («l'opposition ne vient pas de notre côté mais bien du côté des Antonelli», 056.0157); use the individual files where a person is meant.

• Cardinal Antonelli (1806–1876)
