I had a photograph taken of the corner I am painting, in order to have the pavement lines quite exact. The operation took place this morning at seven o'clock. From six o'clock the architect was there, and we set off. Myself, Emile, Rosalie, Coco, and the photographer.
J'ai fait faire une photographie du coin que je peins pour avoir les lignes des trottoirs bien exactes. L'opération a eu lieu ce matin à sept heures. Dès six heures l'architecte était là, alors nous sommes partis. Moi, Emile, Rosalie, Coco et le photographe.
Not that the brother's presence is of any use — but it is more cheerful; I like to have a little retinue around me.
Ce n'est pas que la présence du frère soit utile mais c'est plus gai, j'aime bien avoir un petit état major autour de moi.
