Out all day, from ten o’clock until seven. It begins with a visit to Carolus with Adeline. This man is truly an artist. He transports you to the sixteenth century, the Renaissance — our modern dress is out of place with this charming and... affected creature. I say affected because that is what the vulgar call people who are different from a Durand or a Balandard; one must be grateful to him for offering us his charming personality, his interesting interior, his studios in spirit much more than the furniture transporting us to a distant era which appears to us adorable.
Toute la journée dehors, de dix heures à sept heures. Ça commence par une visite à Carolus avec Adeline. Cet homme est vraiment un artiste. Il vous transporte au XVIème siècle, la Renaissance, nos habits font tâche chez cet être charmant et... poseur, je dis poseur parce que c’est ainsi que le vulgaire dénomme les gens qui sont autrement que Duran et Balandard; il faut lui savoir gré de nous offrir sa charmante personnalité, son intéressant intérieur, ses ateliers dans l’esprit bien plus que les meubles nous transporte à une époque lointaine et qui nous apparaît adorable.

Puis déjeuner chez les Gavini avec Saint Amand et Nervo.
Then errands at Worth, where I have a consultation with M. Jean, and at Doucet, where I have another with M. Jean. Result: three dresses. It rained all day — I could not have worked in any case...
Puis courses chez Worth ou j’ai une conférence avec M. Jean et chez Doucet ou j’en ai une autre avec M. Jean. Résultat: trois robes. Il a plu toute la journée, je n’aurais pas pu travailler de toute façon...
