I have finished the canvas, apart from a few touch-ups.
J’ai fini le tableau, sauf quelques retouches.
Julian finds it has improved enormously in the past week — that it is very good now. Tony did not notice the change at the centre; the three main figures, though in the background, have been repainted and altered, and others too; and some hands.
Julian trouve qu’il a énormément gagné depuis huit jours, que c’est très bien maintenant. Tony n’a pas vu le changement du centre, les trois principales figures quoiqu’au second plan sont repeintes, changées, et puis d’autres; et des mains.
I myself know it is better now; we shall see what Tony says tomorrow.
Je sais moi-même que c’est mieux à présent, nous verrons ce que dira demain Tony.
There are in all sixteen figures and the skeleton — making seventeen.
Il y a en tout seize personnes et le squelette, cela fait dix-sept.
