Our studio is becoming like that of the men, which is to say we shall have figure drawing all day, the same model in the same pose; consequently one will be able to paint large studies. For two or three months already I have needed this; before, it would have served no purpose, but I am ready for this work. We are only eight; the other students, numbering twenty-two, have moved to the new studio that Julian has set up at 51 rue Vivienne, where the organization is as in our old one.
It is now three years that I have been working.
We drank a punch that I paid for.
Yesterday Berthe [blacked-out word: lunched] at our house with her baby, then the Tchoumakoffs arrived, old Madame Mouzay and Saint-Amand, whom we took to the Bois. In the evening I received a letter from Daillens in which she begs me to take care of myself.
