Overview

A young Princess Nathalie Galitzine of the Nice winter society of about 1873, who died in Russia in 1875.

She is not Bête, Princess Nathalie Galitzine of 1873–74, who is alive in December 1875 and sends the family «des bonbons et des choses russes» (050.0966, 19 December 1875; Mon Journal t.6 p.242). The t.6 index has a single entry, «Galitzine (Mme Nathalie, princesse), 234, 242, 316», which runs the two women together.

Identity uncertain

We are not sure who this is: the Galitzin (Golitsyn) family was very large, and Marie gives only the first name, the colouring and the death in Russia in 1875. Marie's figures («il y a quelques mois», «il y a un mois») do not agree exactly. Sources checked: 050.0824, 052.0089, the t.6 index. If you can identify her, we would be glad to hear from you.
