We took Bagnitsky to the Salon, but he will not be enlisted among Bastien's admirers — I shall have trouble with him. We also went to Julian's; I thought he would be flattered to show his studios to the journalist, but he contented himself with showing him his atelier and the studies of all his pupils, several of whom are now quite celebrated.
