There is a special paper on which one makes drawings for La Vie Moderne, and it is only to be had there; in short Julian gives me a note for the editorial secretary Gaetchy, saying that I shall find there everyone known, celebrated and powerful in the modern school. We saw no one but M. Gaetchy, who came to give me the sheet, tell me how it is used, and to send his compliments to Julian. All very rapid, very rapid. So that if it is "a door," as Julian said, it has not yet opened this time.
