Few people. M. Moliner, a wealthy Cuban introduced the other evening.
I am not pleased with my showing. There are four admission grades; Breslau received grade 3. I was admitted simply, with no grade at all.
If Breslau received only grade 3, it is fair enough that I received nothing — but no matter. I must rise above this. My head was neither praised nor criticized. It is not worthy of me; I must rise above this — must, must, must. I am humiliated to have exhibited what I exhibited; it is pretty but not worthy of me. I said as much today to Horace de Caillas.
Old Géry sent me forty francs.
