Maman is all in tears; she thinks Paul has tried to kill himself and that his father, frightened, is at his bedside... We telegraph at once to find out, to find out what has happened to this child. I know he was ready for anything, and God knows what he will have done, so grieved in his love and publicly humiliated.
Maman est tout en larmes, elle croit que Paul a voulu se tuer et que son père effrayé est à son chevet... Nous télégraphions de suite pour savoir, pour savoir ce qu'il a cet enfant. Je sais qu'il était prêt à tout et Dieu sait ce qu'il aura fait ainsi chagriné dans son amour et publiquement humilié.
