Filippini sat; I am doing her portrait.
I spent the night writing the article that follows [Missing], which I sent to Le Voltaire. Apart from that, everything is falling apart. Gaillard must have told Mme Adam that we receive on Saturdays. She did not come today. Really, I am too stupid!
You cannot imagine how it has crushed me.
The Mouzays have just left; Berthe is still here. But I am destroyed; I would like to weep.
