I was to go to Father Didon’s with La Mouzay, but it is put off until tomorrow. See how one thing leads to another. La Mouzay has written a very fine reply to Father Didon’s lectures, and her daughter and I went to take it to Mme Adam’s. The offices of the Revue are very well arranged, and we leave the manuscript anonymously, asking at what time one can see Mme Adam, who has sprained her foot; consequently my visit at four o’clock was useless. Otherwise I should have gone there, with the pretext of this manuscript entrusted to me by one of my friends, etc. In the street we meet Joseph with his Antinous shoulders.
