We are back from the Opera, I am in good spirits, we enjoyed ourselves, we were very fashionable. Mme Gavini, Berthe, Dina, myself, Johnstone, Gavini, Baron de Nervo, Multedo, Gery father and son, the Marquis de Casa-Riera and his secretary.
Nous revenons de l'Opéra, je suis de bonne humeur, nous nous sommes amusés, nous étions très chic. Mme Gavini, Berthe, Dina, moi, Johnstone, Gavini, baron de Nervo, Multedo, Géry père et fils, le marquis de Casa-Riera et son secrétaire.
The Marquis is blind but this is the second time I speak to him, he recognizes my voice, I devote myself and keep him company for twenty minutes. We did not hear any music, we chatted the whole time and as everyone was in very high spirits there is nothing special to relate.
Le marquis est aveugle mais voilà la seconde fois que je lui parle, il reconnaît ma voix, je me dévoue et lui tiens compagnie pendant vingt minutes. Nous n'avons pas entendu de musique, on a causé tout le temps et comme on était très entrain il n'y a rien de spécial à raconter.
The young Gery is a charming fellow, attache in Brussels, not at all stupid and likeable, tall and dark in the manner of Joseph whom he knows well.
Le fils Géry est un charmant garçon, attaché à Bruxelles, pas bête du tout et sympathique, grand brun dans le genre Joseph qu'il connaît beaucoup.
