Young Karageorgevitch came yesterday and I entrusted him with buying me some decorative vases — he has taste.
Actually! Wednesday evening I went to Mouzay's. She insisted I attend her first grand soirée, to compensate for her daughter's indisposition at the Opera — she had simply eaten and drunk too late. How bored I was!! I say bored as a convention, for I am no longer bored; provided no one speaks to me and I can think about what interests or amuses me...
There were many people — wherever does she fish them up from! I was able to withdraw into myself while the hostesses paraded their best smiles over their delightful guests.
I prefer to live as I live...
