I am in a stupid, causeless anxiety. It is really not permissible to be so foolish.

It had been arranged with the Gavinis to go to the Odéon. My aunt would not take my place — I went with Paul, and as these people are in a charming mood this evening I have a passable evening.
Il a été convenu avec les Gavini d'aller à l'Odéon. Ma tante n'a pas voulu me remplacer, j'y suis allée avec Paul et comme ces gens sont ce soir d'une humeur charmante je passe une soirée possible.
