Everyone went to Frankfurt to see Monsieur Rembelinsky off. I still cough but my voice seems strong and clear. I sang this evening and there was a crowd under my balcony. There are two Russian households here, from Petersburg — very fashionable.
Tout le monde a été à Francfort pour voir partir M. Rembelinsky. Je tousse encore mais ma voix paraît forte et claire. J’ai chanté ce soir et il y a eu une foule sous mon balcon. Il y a deux ménages russes, de Pétersbourg, très-chic.

Le malheureux, il ne sait pas quelle voix j’avais, bien que être prise pour Mme Abaza pour la force soit bien flatteur, surtout pour moi qui ai la souplesse et le charme.
