Lundi, 12 octobre 1874 J'attends toute la journée la voiture mais Georges qui commence en ce moment ses libations à Bacchus l'a tenue jusqu'à six heures et demie et au milieu du dîner nous amena l'avoué Florès qui eut le bon esprit de s'en aller, et avec lequel il was drinking toute la journée.
I wait all day for the carriage, but Georges, who is at this moment beginning his libations to Bacchus, kept it until half past six and in the middle of dinner brought us the solicitor Flores, who had the good sense to leave — and with whom he was drinking1 all day long.
The entrance of this man killed my appetite.
L'entrée de cet homme me coupa l'appétit.
