- 22 November 1874: at the theatre, Zibine «a osé se pencher hors de la loge de la dégoûtante Schestakoff» to look at the red satin dress of La Vigier, whose bodice has a round opening, «la pauvre vicomtesse rougit» (026.0031; see ZIBINE, VIGIER). Marie's feeling for the Schestakoffs is negative.
- 19 December 1874: in her verses on the theatre audience: «La Schestakoff en satin vert / La plus laide femme de l'univers» (027.0319, 027.0320).
