Overview

The duc de San Cesario of Naples, «président du Cercle» (069.0457, 20 March 1877: the Società Filarmonica, see 070.0911), father of the young marquis di Campomarino (Campomarino): Marie is introduced to «le marquis di Campomarino, fils du duc de Sanceso» (069.0527). He greets her mother at the door of the Fabbricatore ball (069.0521) and teases Marie, «Vous n'êtes pas blanche aujourd'hui, mais dorée sur tranches» (069.0530).

Father and son

Marie twice calls the son by his father's title, «San Cesario, c'est-à-dire Campomarino» (069.0528, 069.0560); those paragraphs are tagged CAMPOMARINO. The father keeps this file; the two are not to be merged. The Mon Journal t.10 index has «San Cesario (duc de), 38, 42, 46, 50, 140, 205» and a separate «San Ceso (duc de), 46», which is the printed «Sanceso» of 069.0527, i.e. the same duke (0.8). His family name is not given; we found no source for it.
