The reply to Soutzo is quite an undertaking... I have laboured furiously over my arguments; if he were my equal he would understand an improvisation, but that creature. And is he worth the trouble? More no than yes. But my arms ache from handling the clay and I am indisposed; how to occupy the leisure that fatigue creates?
C’est tout un travail la réponse à Soutzo... J’ai pioché furieusement mes arguments, si c’était un semblable il comprendrait une improvisation mais cet animal là. Et puis en vaut-il la peine ? Plutôt non que oui. Mais j’ai mal aux bras d’avoir manié la terre et je suis indisposée; à quoi occuper les loisirs que créé la fatigue ?
