I cough as much as possible, but by some miracle, far from making me ugly, it gives me an air of languor that suits me well.

Many visitors come, and much admiration for Berthe's child, who is ten months old and very pretty; for a moment in her arms it makes a picture, and the archangel looks at us with beautiful honest eyes. Il vient beaucoup de monde et l'on admire beaucoup l'enfant de Berthe qui a dix mois et qui est très joli, un instant dans ses bras, cela fait tableau et l'archange nous regarde avec de beaux yeux honnêtes. Quant à Berthe avec sa robe courte elle a l'air d'une petite bonne élégante. Turquan présente son frère qui est au Sénat et qui doit nous faire entrer aux séances de l'Artide 7.

Nous causons de républicains et de salons artisitiques et littéraires et il offre de me présenter Joseph Arnaud mais je refuse parce qu'il est "trop fat"
