I go to church (white and silver dress, black hat, new hairstyle — easy, practical, and lasting all day. Half the hair drawn up and tracing on each side the shape of the head without being dressed high, the rest a twist covering the nape; the whole very good). I am rosy.

Je vais à l'église (robe blanche et argent, chapeau noir, coiffure nouvelle, facile commode et tenant toute la journée. La moitié des cheveux relevés et dessinant de chaque côté la forme de la tête sans être coiffés en haut, le reste une torsade me couvrant la nuque, le tout très bien). Je suis rose.

J'ai prévenu maman etc. qu'il y aura des despotismes et des scènes. Car le chef de famille a déjà plusieurs fois dit de ne pas chanter, de ne pas jouer, ni marcher, ni rire. Il est devenu très grossier, enfin per un bel pezzo nous aurons de la bagarre.
