Monday, 2 February 1873 [written at the end of the notebook, earlier than what precedes.]

Here I write down everything I intend to do when I am grown up, everything I might forget, and everything that is extraordinary: a dinner service of clear glass a dress: on one side one colour and one cut and one coiffure, on the other side another dress and another coiffure, so that from one side I shall be one person and from the other side another. to give a dinner on the floor.
I have resolved to finish this book, for extravagant ideas rarely come to me these days.
I was very happy to see him. Tomorrow I am going riding. I hope to see him; he is very handsome, and if he loved me it would please me.
