Villa 77

Overview

A villa in Nice known only by its number. On 3 October 1874 Marie writes: «Je fais une promenade avec les chiens et sans chapeau, jusqu'à la villa 77 le matin» (024.0200). The context is a day of family quarrels and money worries; nothing is said of who lives there.

Identity uncertain

We are not sure which villa this is. Marie lists a «villa 57» next to Boreel's and Canepa's in 1873 (006.0039), but no source we have gives the occupant or the street of «77». If you know, we would be glad to hear from you.
