HOTEL DE LONDRES
Also known as: HOTEL DE LONDRES, Hotel de Londres
Overview
The hotel on the Piazza di Spagna (Marie: «place d'Espagne») in Rome where the family stays on arrival, from 3 January to 14 March 1876. (051.0333). On 7 January they take a first-floor apartment in the same hotel «avec balcon sur la place d'Espagne», two bedrooms, salon, antechamber, study and two servants' rooms (051.0429). On 14 March they leave «à cause du mauvais air dans les chambres de maman et Dina» for the Hôtel de la Ville, via del Babuino (055.0702), a few days after the duchess Tricase Muliterno's family, who also lodged at the Londres.
