# Lundi 2 avril 1883
Perspective lesson. Our teacher is delighted with the photographs; he has written to his brother about them. The Canroberts having left, he and Alice stay to dinner, and the evening is spent talking about the great Jules. How did you write that to him? What did you write to him? and so on. Alice is devastated at being rejected.
I write to Tony, to Julian, and to Carolus in hopes of getting her drawing reconsidered.1 The architect, for his part, is going to stir himself.
Notes
Répêcher (to fish back out): Salon jargon for having a rejected work retrieved and reconsidered by the jury. ↩
