Mère Jacob predicted a fire, a silver gate, a marriage in the family and the birth of a child, then deaths. All of it has just come to pass — except the deaths: Lola, Dina's sister, has married, Paul's wife has given birth, and there has been a great fire at Gavronzi — the entire harvest burned. I am not asking you to believe in such things — only it is very amusing.
