lives with that lady. My aunt and he go to the theater, and I remain alone — disturbed in that solitude which I am quite compelled to find delightful — by the visit of the Tchoumakoffs. We talk all evening and I manage well enough; they were perhaps raising their voices.
demeure avec cette dame. Ma tante et lui s'en vont au theatre et je reste seule troublee dans cette solitude que je suis bien forcee de trouver delicieuse par la visite des Tchoumakoff. Nous causons toute la soiree et je m'en tire assez bien, peut-etre forcaient-elles la voix.
