Wodzinski has been dismissed by Madame Kanchine; he takes it like a man of wit and recounts his misadventure. He regrets the young lady but laments that he can no longer think much good of her after her betrayal.
Wodzinski a été congédié par Mme Kanchine, il le prend en homme d’esprit et raconte sa mésaventure, il regrette la jeune fille mais déplore de ne pouvoir plus en penser beaucoup de bien après sa trahison.

We went to Amélie’s wedding — that is to say, it is her sister who is getting married. I had taken Bojidar, and we came back with Mademoiselle de Villevieille making a fourth. Julian, Tony and several notables of our illustrious shop were there.
Nous sommes allés à la noce d’Amélie, c’est-à-dire c’est sa sœur qui se marie. J’avais emmené Bojidar et nous sommes revenus avec Mlle de Villevieille quatrième. Julian, Tony et plusieurs notabilités de notre illustre boutique.
