I went to fetch Amelie at the atelier, and we go to look for a place to paint in the Bois. Passing through Passy, we go to ask for news of Tony's mother, who happens to be there; while Amelie goes up to see the invalid, we talk. I also went in for a moment to the Juvisys'; everyone is traveling except the old mother, who tells me about the Bailleuls and the Audiffrets, who are at Luchon and are going to Biarritz and Madrid for the baptism of the infant the young queen is about to bring into the world.
Je suis allée prendre Amélie à l'Atelier et nous allons chercher dans le Bois une place pour peindre, en passant [par Passy nous allons demander des nouvelles de la mère de Tony qui se trouve là par hasard, pendant qu'Amélie monte voir la malade, nous causons. Je suis aussi entrée un instant chez les Juvisy, tout le monde est en voyage sauf la vieille mère qui me parle de la Bailleul et des Audiffret qui sont à Luchon, qui vont à Biarritz et Madrid pour le baptême de l'infant que la jeune reine va mettre au monde.
