This evening after my bath I became so suddenly pretty that I spent twenty minutes looking at myself.
An absolutely dazzling complexion — so delicate, so gentle; cheeks barely touched with rose. For vigor, only the lips and eyebrows, with the eyes.
And to think it serves no purpose! It will serve... but what is outrageous is that all of this must fade, turn to parchment, and die!
Painting takes everything.
