Encore pire que hier ! Ah ! Seigneur ôtez-moi cette folie. Tolomo, [Mot noirci : Mais] le grand noir ont fait une représentation extraordinaire devant notre balcon, en brouette, avec Melissano qui les dirigeait avec sa canne comme un chef d'orchestre.

Pascarola's visit restores me somewhat from the despair of this morning and the mad laughter caused by Melissano.

La visite de Pascarola me remet un peu du désespoir de ce matin et du rire fou causé par Melissano.

This evening for the first time I enjoyed myself at the Skating.
