Nina and Pâris are with us, looking for lodgings in Nice. I went out very little. We had a little tea-party this evening — a few people only: M. and Mlle Pelikan, Bihovetz, M. Angel, and young Lubimoff. Pâris sang. By ten o'clock it was over. Our rooms are not large, but with the doors open and well-lit the effect is not bad.
Nina et Pâris sont chez nous et cherchent un logement à Nice. Je suis sortie fort peu. Nous avions un petit thé ce soir, quelques personnes seulement. M. et Mlle Pelikan, Bihovetz, M. Angel et Lubimoff fils. Pâris chanta. A dix heures c'était fini. Nos chambres ne sont pas grandes mais les portes ouvertes et bien éclairé l'effet n'est pas vilain.
Paul has been out since morning, and during the night there was great commotion over the disappearance of Dori — that scoundrel they call my brother had given her to an actress, but Georges and Walitsky went out and at three o'clock brought the dog back. As for Monsieur my brother, they could not lay hands on him.
Paul est sorti depuis ce matin et la nuit on a fait grand bruit de la disparition de Dori, cette canaille que l'on nomme mon frère l'a donnée à une actrice mais Georges et Walitsky, allèrent et à trois heures ramenèrent le chien. Quant à monsieur mon frère on ne l'a pas pu attraper.
