A bathing establishment in Nice that the family used in the summer of 1873. The Mon Journal t.1 index lists it as «Macarani (bains)» (pp. 207, 239, 240).In the Diary
- 006/1873-06-30: «Je suis allée avec maman et Dina aux bains (Macarani). Pitou s'est admirablement baigné, il a plongé quatre fois.» Pitou is Marie's monkey (t.1 index «Pitou, singe de Marie»), so the baths had water deep enough to dive into; whether they were sea baths or an indoor bathhouse is not stated.
- 007.0240 (1873-07-27): Marie goes «aux bains Macarani sans changer de costume», still in her dressing gown; 007.0241 «J'aime aller aux bains par coquetterie».
- 007.0255 (1873-07-28): «Aux bains Macarani.»

- Location unverified. The name matches the Maccarani family of Nice and today's rue Maccarani near place Masséna, but no source tying the baths to that street was found (web search, 2026-10-21); treat any link as a guess (0.4).
