Victoria (1819–1901), Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from 1837 and Empress of India from 1876 (en.wikipedia «Queen Victoria»).Relevance to Marie
Named only in passing. On 11 April 1875, in the English church at Nice, Marie, who loves the Anglican liturgy, three times turns the page where the congregation prays «pour le prince de Galles Albert-Edward, pour la reine et pour la noblesse» (031.0182): «Je ne m'étonne plus pourquoi ils sont si adorables, c'est qu'on prie tant pour eux.» The prince is the future Edward VII (PRINCE_OF_WALES).References in Diary
