Overview

So the Rumpelmayer of the place Saint-Étienne is the older, already known confectioner's of Nice; the square itself is named without a city, and nothing else is said of it. See Rumpelmayer, Cercle de la Méditerranée.

Identity uncertain

We are not sure where this square is. The paragraph is written in Nice and the comparison implies the first Rumpelmayer is also known to Marie's readers in Nice, but the diary does not name the city and the Mon Journal indices we checked give no further description. If you know the square, we would be glad to hear from you.

In Marie's diary

  • 1874-11-29 (027.0076, Nice): the only mention.
