On 3 December 1874 Marie dismisses him: «J'ai renvoyé Michelazzi, le professeur de latin et d'italien, parce qu'il prenait plusieurs cachets pour une seule leçon» (027.0134). She could not tell him he was stealing, and he insisted with such aplomb that he had not been paid that she gave him another cachet, so she preferred «renvoyer ce voleur».
