What it is

An antique and bric-à-brac dealer in Paris where Marie and her mother buy two mantelpiece sets (garnitures de cheminée) on 29 September 1874, while furnishing for the winter: «Avec lui nous allons chez Arnaud, bric-à-brac, on y achète deux garnitures de cheminées» (024.0157; «lui» is the cab-driver they hire by the day, 024.0156). The Mon Journal t.4 index: «Arnaud, magasin d'antiquités, 161». The address is not given.
