«Adé», a shop in Nice. The Mon Journal indexes list it as «Adé, magasin» (t.4 p.173 and t.6 p.271), not as a person; the diary does not say what it sold beyond the tag «des ruches», probably the ruches (pleated or frilled trimmings) of dressmaking.

Relevance to Marie

On 9 October 1874 Marie and her aunt «courir Nice, chez Adé des ruches, chez plusieurs tapissiers chercher de la cretonne pour la chambre de Dina, chez Visconti où je me suis abonnée pour Le Morning Post» (024.0274). It is a single errand among several shops; nothing else is said of the shop.
