Vicomte Vigier

Identification (2026-10-21)

Husband of the soprano Sophie Cruvelli (1826–1907), who left the stage when she married him in 1855; sources call him viscount (an equerry to Napoleon III) or baron (Wikipedia, "Sophie Cruvelli"). Marie says so herself: «Vigier était là qui écoutait. Ça doit l'intéresser, à cause de sa femme, la célèbre Sophie Cruvelli» (063.0321), and the edition's index has «Vigier (vicomte)» and «Vigier (vicomtesse Sophie), née Cruvelli» (Mon Journal t.8, index). His wife has her own entry: #Vicomtesse_Vigier.
