Mme Boje
Overview
Mme Boje, a Swedish woman living in Paris, wife of M. Boje, a former chamberlain of the King of Sweden; in the winter of 1877-78 the reputed mistress of Paul de Cassagnac (see Cassagnac), whom Marie is half in love with. Marie first knows her only as «la femme hongroise», then identifies her: «La femme hongroise se nomme Mme Boje. The information comes from the Mouzays and from Marie's Swedish fellow students at Julian's.
