Baron Gustave Cuneo d'Ornano (b. 1845), Bonapartist deputy for Charente (arrondissement of Cognac), who sat with the Appel au peuple group and voted with the monarchist minority (en.wikipedia «Gustave Cunéo d'Ornano»). The Mon Journal t.12 and t.13 indexes list «Cuneo d'Ornano (Gustave), homme politique» (t.12 p.243; t.13 pp.38–39).

He appears in the diary as one of the circle of #Paul de Cassagnac, whom Marie follows from afar:

  • 1878-11-05 (083.0115), visiting Cassagnac's young wife and her mother: «Le père Cassagnac, Robert Mitchell et Cunéo d'Ornano sont venus voir la comtesse Stéphano Cassagnac et sa jeune mère.»
  • 1879-03-20 (084.0511): at the railway station for Versailles, where Cassagnac's election is to be validated, he is among «R. Mitchell, Cunéo, Loqueyssie, ses intimes».
  • 1879-06-16 (085.0344): «Dugué» and «Cuneo» with Gavini on the station platform after the Chamber scene in which Cassagnac, Rouher and Gambetta clashed.
