Not Uncle Stiopa (#Stiopa, Stepa Babanine). In February-April 1875 "Stiopa, l'aîné" is a boy of seven in Marie's Nice circle (with Julie, six, Nadinka and "mon oncle" in 029/1875-02-07, and the small Liouba in 030/1875-02-28; parentage not stated), whom Marie takes out to the opera and to Rumpelmayer's.
