Overview

A working family of Nice who served the Bashkirtseff household. On Marie's name day, 3 June 1877, «Mademoiselle Raynaud, c'est-à-dire Françoise la blanchisseuse» brings her a bouquet; her mother is the household's cook when one is needed and her father a cobbler; then «Madame Raynaud elle-même» comes with her married daughter, whose child Marie is to be godmother to and to name Alexandre or Alexandrine (071.0548, 071.0549). Not the «certain Raynaud» suspected in 1875 (#Raynaud).
