Press clipping
Also known as: Press clipping, Newspaper clipping, Coupure de presse, Coupure de journal
Overview
Marie pasted newspaper cuttings and other printed matter into her notebooks: society columns that mention her or her family, reviews, reports she wanted to keep. The uncensored edition keeps them in place, on the day where she put them. Each one is a paragraph of its own, marked as a clipping, printed as a quotation and tagged with this entry and, where one exists, with the newspaper's own entry (for example #Le_Figaro or #Le_Gaulois).
How clippings are marked
A clipping paragraph carries the line `kind: clipping`, with the newspaper and date as its source when they are known, and its text is set as a block quotation. Letters Marie copied into the diary, struck-out passages and marginal notes are marked the same way with the kinds `letter`, `rayé` and `margin`. The convention is described in the project documentation (docs/REBUILD_CARNET.md, "Paragraph kinds").
