Overview

A young diplomat of the Ottoman embassy in Paris. Marie calls him «Loghadès (attaché turc)» among the New Year cards of 1 January 1881 (090.0507); the Mon Journal t.14 index has «Loghadès (M.) diplomate turque : 53» and, separately, «Lagnadès-Effendi (diplomate turque) : 109», possibly the same man under a misprinted name (not checked).

In November 1883 a Loghadès marries Léonie, the daughter of the painter Tchoumakoff: «Le mari, un grec-turc, attaché d'ambassade dégommé, vingt-quatre ans; nommé Loghadès. Il l'emmène à Constantinople» (102.0265, 102/1883-11-19). That he is the attaché of 1881 is probable (0.8): same rare name, same post, now «dégommé» (dismissed). His first name is not given.
