Mgr Frédéric de Falloux du Coudray

Monseigneur de Falloux (Rome, 1875-76)

A prelate of the Roman Curia at the palazzo Ruspoli to whom Marie's family carries a letter of introduction; he helps them obtain an audience at the Vatican. The project footnote to 052/1876-01-10 identifies him as Frédéric de Falloux du Coudray (1807-1884), regent of the Apostolic Chancery, later cardinal (1877), not his brother the legitimist writer Alfred de Falloux.
